2018 Year in Review!

As we close out 2018, we want to reflect and thank all our wonderful guests that stayed with us this past year.  We strive to make your stay better and better each year. This was our busiest year in 26 years!  More people than ever came through our doors this year than ever before.  Thank you!

We also want to give shout-outs to the following:

  • Joe & Bev for all the help and support you give us year in and year out.  You are the BEST!
  • Frank – for helping us keep all our lights on!
  • Dave Blake – the best “dirt” guy in the Lakes Region – he builds our stone walls and makes our place look beautiful
  • To Suzanne – well – what can I say…. she knows… <3
  • To our staff – Ashley, Gena, Amanda, George, Monica, Tatum, Pamela & Desi – who keep this place running, keep it clean and make our guests happy!  We can’t do it without you!
  • to our family for their support, guidance and love… and for listening!
  • to the beautiful Lakes Region of NH where we live – every day is beautiful!
  • and to Owen – our new grandson – he’s a fighter.  God bless him.

We wish you all the best for 2019 and look forward to seeing you!  Thank you!

March Time!

March has come roaring in like a lion! The sun is out but the winds are howling! The snow has melted very fast and we are itching to get going on our Spring projects. I just had my first Spring Shopping Spree at HomeGoods and was able to pick up some new end tables and other fixtures for the rooms. This is the first of many shopping trips…. it’s my “rite of Spring!”

Lakeside Avenue is undergoing a major renovation. The sidewalks have been dug up, the utiltity wires are getting buried underground and the road will be all new. Along with that we have new owners at the Winnipesaukee Pier – East Coast Flightcraft Boat dealers – so there will be changes there as well! So you can expect to see a new and improved Weirs Beach this year!

Time to say “Thank you”

We had the best season in the 24 seasons we have been innkeeping. We cannot thank our wonderful guests enough for staying with us. Those who have been coming years and those that just discovered us this year. We are humbled for your patronage. We are grateful, too, for our wonderful staff – Ashley, Genavieve, Mandy, Kristopher, Amanda, Paula, Sam & Bea – who always give us their best. We could not do this without them! Thank you!

With that, we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Let the Summer fun begin!

Memorial Day weekend was a record-setter! The weather on Saturday was prime for sun and fun! We are optimistic that the weather for the summer will continue this trend. With that said, have you made your vacation plans yet? We still have some openings in our most popular units – Cottages 1, 4, 15, and 16 as well as the Captain’s Suite.  We only have a few openings for event weekends – Nascar, Soulfest and Ironman and some mid-week openings during Laconia Motorcycle Week. Bank of NH Pavilion has scheduled some great shows this year.  Have you seen the roster? Florida Georgia Line, Ringo Starr, Keith Urban, Dave Matthews, Rod Stewart to name a few. With all this going on, you can’t miss out. Contact us so we can assist you with making your vacation plans.

It’s January – can Spring be far behind??

Hi – well, we are almost through the first month of the New Year… we’ve not had much snow so far and the lake isn’t frozen.  Currently the Mid-Atlantic states are getting pounded by a blizzard. We’re not. Just this morning there is the first sign of some lake hardening in Weirs Bay. The Pond Hockey Tournament has changed its location from Meredith Bay to Lake Waukewan where the ice is thicker. What a difference a year makes when at this time last year we were buried in snow!

When snow storms come, that’s when we get an influx of inquiries and reservations for the summer. Snow is outside the window = summer vacation! We’re all for that kind of thinking!  We have already sat around the kitchen table and made our list of upgrades for this year. It’s kind of our “annual” event – like a rite of passage into Spring. We figure out when we can start and that just makes it seem like Spring is almost here. Well, if you look at the calendar, Spring is only two months away!!

In the interim of when we can get started, we are going to look forward to hearing from you – make your summer vacation plans, book your Laconia Motorcycle week cottage, get an update on your Ironman training, and/or meet some new folks that will be joining us for the first time!  We’ll enjoy some Pond Hockey, check out the Ice Fishing Derby and of course watch the Superbowl! Think Spring!!

Welcome to 2016!

A New Year – a new year of possibilities and adventures! The time that we make new lists and resolutions. Make a resolution to book your vacation – with prime units still having availability – this is the best time. Let us help you make your arrangements and let us help you check it off your 2016 To-Do list! Welcome to 2016! Happy New Year!
